Mango & Kale Protein Smoothie

This has been my go to smoothie this week as its naturally sweet from the mango and the banana, so there is no need to add any sweetener. I’ve added whey protein as I am on a high protein diet since my current goal is to build back muscle since my little Heath was born.

I tend to have a smoothie after my daily run which is usually around lunchtime, I find them filling and satisfying and I know they are providing my body and muscles with the nutrients they need after a good workout.

If you don’t have or like using whey protein you can add any sort of nuts or nut butter. I also sometimes sprinkle with seeds or nuts on top for texture as well as extra nutritional goodness.

  1. Put all of the ingredients into a blender and pulse until smooth. Serve with extra fresh mango or fruit if desired. I also like to top with bee pollen if you have this available.
